CN Centre for Occupational Health and Safety & Steps for Life collaboration

Join the CN Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, as well as SMU OH&S, as we take Steps for Life this May! The Association of Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads for Life, is dedicated to supporting families affected by life-altering workplace injuries, illnesses, and deaths. Steps for Life is a fun 5km walk aiming to raise funds to support families, as well as educate communities on the ripple effects of these events. Our team will be at Point Pleasant Park walking side by side, stride by stride with Threads of Life on May 4th at 10am.

The money raised at the Steps for Life walk goes towards helping 3600 people, like Fred. Fred Broughton was working as an Occupational Health and Safety Manager when he unexpectedly lost his son, Bruce, in 2006. Though Fred and his wife Eva initially joined Threads to receive supports, they have since dedicated themselves to supporting others.
